Pine Script converter: bring your TradingView indicators to BuffloChart
Paste a Pine Script indicator into Bufflo AI and it translates the logic into a native BuffloChart indicator that you can review and refine by logic, inputs, style and timeframe. Pine Script itself does not run inside Bufflo: the indicator is rebuilt, so compare it with the original before you rely on it.

Pine Script is TradingView’s scripting language, and scripts written in it run on TradingView. If you want the same indicator somewhere else, the logic has to be rebuilt in that platform’s own language. That is why traders hire freelancers to port Pine Script to other platforms, and why “Pine Script converter” is such a common search.
Bufflo does that rebuild for you. Bufflo AI reads the Pine Script, works out what it calculates and draws, and recreates it as a native BuffloChart indicator.
Try it: ask Bufflo AI
- Ask Bufflo AI“Convert this Pine Script indicator into a BuffloChart indicator”
- Ask Bufflo AI“Create an opening-range indicator and add it to my AMD chart”
- Ask Bufflo AI“Change the converted indicator’s length input to 20 and draw it in blue”
How the conversion works
- Paste the script. Copy the Pine Script source of an indicator you are allowed to use and paste it into Bufflo AI.
- Bufflo AI rebuilds the logic. It translates the inputs, calculations and plots into a native BuffloChart indicator.
- Review it on a chart. Add the indicator to a chart and check that it behaves like the original.
- Refine it. Change the logic, inputs, style or timeframe yourself, or ask Bufflo AI for the change in plain English.
The result is a BuffloChart indicator, not a running copy of your Pine Script. It works with BuffloChart’s custom timeframes and drawing and risk/reward tools, and sits on the same workspace as your scanners and alerts.
No script? Describe the indicator instead
You do not need source code to get a custom indicator. Describe what you want to see, such as “create an opening-range indicator and add it to my AMD chart”, and Bufflo AI builds it. This is often faster than finding, licensing and converting a script that does almost what you want.
What to check after converting a Pine Script indicator
Any port between charting platforms can drift from the original. Before you rely on a converted indicator, compare it with the original on the same symbol and timeframe, and check the places where differences usually hide:
- Input defaults. Make sure lengths, sources and thresholds match the values you use on the original.
- Session and timezone. Indicators that reset each day, such as VWAP or opening ranges, depend on which session and timezone they use.
- Higher-timeframe data. Pine Script indicators that pull data from another timeframe can behave differently on historical bars than on live bars.
- Bar close versus intrabar. Some indicators change while a bar is forming and settle when it closes. Check both.
- Repainting. If the original repaints, its historical plot may look better than it behaved live. A faithful conversion will not fix that.
TradingView’s own documentation on repainting and on requesting other timeframes is a good reference for understanding how the original behaves.
What converts, and what does not
| Script contents | In Bufflo |
|---|---|
| Indicator calculations and plots | Rebuilt as a native BuffloChart indicator |
| Inputs | Rebuilt as editable indicator inputs |
| Strategy entry and exit rules | Describe them as a Bufflo backtest to test them |
| Protected or invite-only scripts | Their source code is not available to paste, so they cannot be converted |
Only convert scripts whose licence allows you to reuse them, such as your own scripts or open-source ones whose terms permit it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my TradingView indicators in Bufflo?
You can paste a Pine Script indicator into Bufflo AI, and it rebuilds the logic as a native BuffloChart indicator that you can review and refine. Pine Script does not run directly inside Bufflo.
Will the converted indicator match the original exactly?
It should follow the same logic, but you should always check it. Compare both on the same symbol and timeframe, paying attention to input defaults, session settings and higher-timeframe data.
Can Bufflo convert Pine Script strategies?
Conversion is built for indicators. To test a strategy, describe its entry and exit rules as a Bufflo backtest.
Can AI write Pine Script for me?
Bufflo AI does not output Pine Script. It builds indicators natively in BuffloChart, either from Pine Script you paste or from a plain-English description, so you can skip writing Pine Script altogether.
Do I need to write code?
No. You can paste an existing script, or skip code entirely and describe the indicator you want in plain English.
Try it on a live workspace.
Open Bufflo in your browser, describe what you want in plain English, and adjust everything yourself. No install, no code.
